The Challenge
The tourist accommodation Ammos Greece is a hotel with rooms and apartments to let in Nea Plagia Halkidiki.
Before the start of our cooperation, Ammos Greece had its own website in English, where guests could view the hotel’s facilities and rooms and make a reservation through a contact form. However, the website was not mobile-friendly, could not make reservations, was slow to load, lacked a secure connection and lacked automatic availability synchronization with third-party platforms (e.g. Booking).
Wanting to have a modern and easy-to-use website, the client turned to the Webgrams team. Specifically, he requested the redesign of his website and its redevelopment in 4 languages. In addition, he requested the optimization of the online booking and payment system, as well as SEO copywriting services for the Greek and English versions of the website.
The Results
With functionality, flexibility and scalability in mind, we created a WordPress website with various plugins and the ability to display in 4 languages.
We designed the website from the beginning, emphasizing on responsive design for proper viewing of content on any screen size. Applying the best SEO practices, we created the texts of the website in Greek and English.
For a better conversion rate, we have optimized the online booking system so that it is possible to make reservations based on the number of people. For example, a group of 8 people can book 2 rooms directly, instead of having to complete one room reservation first and then move on to the next.
In addition, we have optimized the payment system to accept payments via card, paypal and bank deposit. We’ve provided flexibility with the ability to pay in instalments, and we’ve incorporated payments for extra services such as airport transfers.
We also provided for the possibility of issuing discount coupons and the automatic generation of various reports on bookings, revenues, etc. We also connected the website with third-party booking applications, such as Booking.com, and ensured automatic synchronisation of availability.
Finally, the Ammos Greece management system is an economical solution for the online management of the hotel, as it also functions as a PMS in terms of basic functions.
